This is a dry feeling pastry but because of the butter it turns into a nice crunchy biscuit type texture when cooked. Good for apple pie or jam drops (see picture below)
Ingredients
125 grams butter, room temperature
125 grams sugar
1 egg
2 cups self raising flour
Method
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees
- Cream the butter and sugar until light and pail
- Add the egg and mix well until combined
- Slowly add the flour until it can be molded into a ball.
- Now the mix is ready to be rolled and used for apple pie of rolled into balls and baked as jam drops.
