Maure's biscuit pasty

This is a dry feeling pastry but because of the butter it turns into a nice crunchy biscuit type texture when cooked. Good for apple pie or jam drops (see picture below)

Ingredients


  • 125 grams butter, room temperature
  • 125 grams sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups self raising flour

  • Method

    1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees
    2. Cream the butter and sugar until light and pail
    3. Add the egg and mix well until combined
    4. Slowly add the flour until it can be molded into a ball.
    5. Now the mix is ready to be rolled and used for apple pie of rolled into balls and baked as jam drops.
