Caramel Nut Popcorn

Ingredients

  • ½ Cup Popping Corn
  • 5 Tablespoons oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • ¾ Cup Sugar
  • 125 grams Butter
  • ½ Cup Peanuts

Method

  1. Cook the popping corn as per the recipe on the packet
  2. Empty the popped corn into a large bowl and discard the un-popped kernels.
  3. Stir the honey, butter and sugar in a small pan over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
  4. Once the sugar has dissolved boil uncovered for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from the heat and stir in the peanuts
  6. Pour the caramel mixture over the popped corn and mix until all the pop corn is covered.
  7. Spread the mixture over a large tray and allow to fully cool before breaking the caramel popcorn into pieces.
  8. Store in an airtight container in a cool and dry place.
