Bibimbap
This recipe looks complicated with a lot of steps but once you have the rice its pretty simple.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked Sushi rice
- 1 Carrot cut into matchsticks
- 1 Zuchini cut into matchsticks
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- Stirfry the carrot and zuchini in sesame oil and set aside (can be made early and warmed later
- 100 g baby spinach
- 100g bean shoots
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- Blanch spinach and bean shoots in boiling water for 30 seconds each and mix with salt, garlic and sesame oil.
- 50g Dried shitake mushrooms -
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic crushed
- Rehydrate shitake mushrooms in boiling water for 5 minutes. Add soy sauce, garlic and pepper.
- 250 g Beef fillet (or pork cutlets) thinly sliced
- 1 clove Garlic crushed
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- large pinch Ground white pepper
- Stir fry beef with pepper, garlic, soy sauce, sesame, sugar for about 1-2 minutes.
- 1 nori sheet toasted
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds toasted
- Finish with thinly sliced toasted nori and sesame seeds.
- Egg yolk or fried egg
Serve with chilli sauce
